Hardware built to ensure success

We never want you to have to think about security. Chances are, if a customer is thinking about security, it means something went wrong. And we do our best to ensure that never happens.

However, if we do get questions, it’s typically one of two.

Is survey data backed up?

In short, absolutely! We recently added a new 32 processor website and data server that is housed in a professional data warehouse. It’s committed to fast internet access and hardware reliability including:

  • An on-site technician who monitors the hardware 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which allows a hard failure to be replaced or fixed within minutes.

  • The servers are protected by the latest firewall systems to ensure data security.

  • Our mirrored hard drive system stores all data on two drives simultaneously, keeping all data secure even in the event of a hardware failure.

  • Our servers have full backups every week, plus incremental backups every night.

  • We overbuilt our new server with page refresh speed in mind, making sure your survey respondents won’t wait for their next survey questions.

Does School Perceptions have a privacy policy?

We do! We understand survey data, particularly survey data from school, can be extremely sensitive. Therefore, your privacy is extremely important to us. The School Perceptions Privacy Policy ensures that all data you and your school(s) provide us will only be used for your contracted services. Data access is granted to the District’s Custodian of Records with the ability to disaggregate all compiled data and authorize access to other district staff. Unless otherwise noted, School Perceptions designates the Custodian of Records to be the signer of the product proposal. In addition, your data remains on our server but is owned by your district. Our entire privacy policy can be found here.
