Welcome, Tom!

Tom first heard of School Perceptions while planting potatoes at his family’s farm. Like most potato farmers, he was interested in data visualization and helping people understand the value of data in a variety of different fields. After learning about the work School Perceptions did helping improve districts and communities, he agreed to start with us part-time while he finishing his master’s degree. Welcome aboard, Tom!

Before joining School Perceptions, Tom worked at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin as a Clinical Research Coordinator where he learned about study design and ethics. He also works as a program evaluator for Catalyst, an internal group at the University of Wisconsin – Stout that helps improve programs for the UW System and external clients. Tom received bachelor’s degrees in neurobiology and psychology at UW-Madison and is currently enrolled in his second year of the Master’s in Applied Psychology program at UW-Stout.

As Operations Manager, Tom will work with clients and the School Perceptions team to create clear, useful, and topical reports for a variety of audiences. If you have questions about his work, feel free to contact him at
